Overview

A traditional design built for ultimate performance is this 501 Squire. As part of the 2022 Legacy Collection, this 501 is crafted with a black burlap Micarta® handle featuring a nickel silver bolster and a satin finish S35VN blade. Includes a black leather sheath. This knife is only available in 2022.

Micarta
Micarta is known for its strength and durability and is nearly impervious to weather, oils, and solvents, making it slip resistant in wet conditions.

Lockback
Lockback folding knives have a mechanism that lock the blade in the open position, activated by opening the blade all the way. A lock back gets its name from a rocker (rocking lock bar) partially visible on top of the knife. Opening the blade causes the rocker to lock against the blade so it locks open. Pushing down on the rocker on top of the handle releases it and enables the user to close the blade. Lockbacks require two hand closing, though some are one hand openers.

This martensitic stainless steel provides supreme edge retention with a combination of ductility, hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. For optimal performance, we harden to Rc 59-61.

Drop Point

This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental punctures. The drop point blade is strong and versatile.
